Harry and Paul 3.1

Due to their age and style of comedy, it’s uncool to like Harry and Paul, but I can’t get enough of ’em. Much of their material is hit and miss, but there’s something comforting about a sketch show with an exasperated, slightly out-of-touch view of the world. I’m sure the BBC are trying their hardest to kill it dead, but I hope it lingers on, a little gem for those of us who find their replacements on BBC Three to be toe-curlingly unfunny.

Highlights this week include ‘I saw you coming’ meeting his match, Kevin Eldon’s ’50s housewife performance (it’s not funny, but damn it’s well acted) and the Mike Leigh introduction film.
